The tip of my Molly's finger turned red probably 7 or 8 years after I got her? It's strange. It never went away. I also never tried cleaning it off. Since it was just one small spot, I figured it just made my Molly more unique.
My friend's daughter has Molly...that she received for Christmas. (she was an ebay purchase)
Since then the edges of her hands, feet, nose & her cheeks have been turning red. We have NO idea why...she has no red clothing or red blankets that could have rubbed off on her.
We have tried Mr. Clean eraser, that doesn't seem to work at all.
ANY SUGGESTIONS????

Can you post pics? Is it a faint red or a "Wow, Molly is red!" red? You can always slather Clearasil on her and sit her under a light for a few hours.
My Molly's spot is a "Whoa! Molly is red!" But it's tiny. I don't have her here with me. She's at my parents' house, otherwise I'd post pics.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It sounds like a dye transfer problem. The high points of a doll's face and hands/feet are usually the spots where the dye gets deposited because they rub against stuff the most. Does the little girl have any clothing or bedding that is red that Molly could have rubbed against? Or a carrying case or bag that is lined in red? (I'm speaking from experience on this one.) Regardless, you'll need to use Oxy10 creme to remove the spots. Apply fresh creme every morning and place the doll under a light or in a sunny window. Remove in the evening and repeat the next morning until the stains are gone. If you can keep the Oxy from drying out by covering it in Saran wrap, I heard it works even faster. Remember that Oxy will bleach any fabrics that it comes into contact with.
could be from something purple too... some colors are more colorfast than others... blue is generally more stable...
